In the past I've worked on:

  Building a new recipe design that featured instructional videos and ingredient and tool images for Bon Appétit to help beginner cooks

• 

  Refactoring legacy code to make it easy to add new features like hints to Tofugu's Japanese Kanji memorization app to help new learners

• ⏩ Safely migrating front-end build tools from gulp to browserify to webpack to speed up build times

• 🛠️ Building internal tools like a preview mode in WaniKani that lets us load any lesson so we can better reproduce issues.

While I love how fast technology progresses, I'm never for using the shiny new thing just for its own sake. I'm happy when new tools solves a hard problem, but I'm also happy when a boring solution ends up being the best solution.

I'm looking for my next role where I can apply these strengths. I'd love to work on unique problems, the more niche the better. I want to work with people who find bigger meaning in their work.
